TMC Pathology-UMKC SOM Residency Applications

Application Criteria

  • Do not call the department for open positions.  These will be listed via ERAS (pre-Match) or Find A Resident (Post-Match)
  • Do Not Email, Fax, or send applications as these will not be considered

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria (as applicable) in order to be eligible for consideration for the program*:

  1. Graduate of approved medical schools in the United States (AMG) or Foreign Countries (IMG) 
  2. Eligible for licensure in Missouri
  3. ECFMG certificate (expiration date to be later than July 1st of the year entering residency)
  4. Passage of the Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA)
  5. Passage of TOEFL (English as a Foreign Language) exam
  6. Passage of USMLE Steps I and II (scores of > 200 seen favorably)

Items of Note

  1. Pre-MATCH applications are accepted ONLY through the Electronic Residency Application Service(ERAS).
  2. Post-Match Applications (if unfilled positions are available) will be filled via www.findaresident.com 
  3. Only applications for combined AP/CP training will be considered.
  4. Deadline for applications is October 31st of the year prior to the beginning of the academic year.
  5. Applicants must submit with their application
    • 3 letters of reference
    • USMLE scores (as applicable - see below)
    • Personal statement of interest.
  6. Applicants with J1 visas are welcome to apply, providing they meet all above criteria.   We do not sponsor or accept J2 or H1 visas.
  7. Applications not meeting the above criteria are considered incomplete and will not be reviewed, accepted, or receive a response.
  8. Applications received by phone, mail, fax, email or method other than described herein will not be considered.
